Mr. Wyron has significant expertise in asbestos-related bankruptcy and restructuring matters. He represented an asbestos defendant in developing and implementing its strategy to resolve its asbestos liabilities, leading to confirmation of one of the first Chapter 11 plans of reorganization utilizing Section 524(g) of the Bankruptcy Code. He presently represents the court-appointed representative for future asbestos claimants in major Chapter 11 cases including W. R. Grace, and an asbestos compensation trust formed under a court-approved plan of reorganization to resolve asbestos-related liabilities.
Mr. Wyron also advises parties in out-of-court restructurings involving Indian gaming enterprises, including representing the Pueblo of Pojoaque in restructuring the financing for its Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino and other tribal casino-owning entities dealing with financial distress.
Mr. Wyron focuses on creating practical solutions to complex business and legal issues, using the tools of bankruptcy where appropriate to accomplish his clients’ objectives.
